Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 3/4 c. plain flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Beat in egg and molasses.
    Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
    Sift flour, salt, cloves, ginger and cinnamon together.
    Add buttermilk and flour mixture alternately to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until tests done.
