Mom'S Old Time Egg Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked pie shell
    2 1/4 c. milk
    4 eggs
    pinch of salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Line a 9-inch pan with crust.
    Put in refrigerator.
    Scald milk.
    Blend eggs with salt and sugar.
    Slowly pour milk into egg mixture, stirring well.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into pan; dot with butter and sprinkle nutmeg over top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until lightly firm.
