Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
5 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs.
Add cream of tartar, baking soda and flavoring, then flour.
Cover and chill dough 2 hours or overnight.
Make small balls.
Dip into cinnamon and sugar or sprinkles to match the holidays.
Place one dozen on each cookie sheet ungreased.
Will puff up and flatten when cool.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 10 dozen.
