Texas Chili Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) cans red kidney beans
    2 c. water
    6 oz. ground turkey
    2 cans stewed tomatoes
    1 1/2 c. chopped onions
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 c. canned green chilies (optional)
    1 1/2 tsp. cumin
    1 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Rinse, drain and chop the green chilies.
    In 3-quart slow-cooker, combine all ingredients and 2 cups water.
    Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours, until onions are tender.
    Ladle evenly into 6 soup bowls.
