Potluck Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 medium red potatoes
    1 (2 oz.) jar pimentos, drained
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/8 tsp. garlic salt
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 lb. American cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
    2 slices bread, cut into cubes
    1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Pare potatoes and cut in thin slices.
    Put a layer in a buttered baking dish.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper and flour.
    Dot with butter.
    Repeat, having no more than 3 layers.
    Add milk until it can be seen through top layer.
    Sprinkle top layer with salt, pepper and flour.
    Dot with butter.
    Bake 1 1/4 hours at 350\u00b0 or until potatoes are brown on top.
    If desired, sprinkle each layer with 1 teaspoon minced onion.
