Scotch Spud Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. creamed shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. instant potato flakes
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; dough will be stiff.
    Let stand 30 minutes.
    Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
