Shirley'S Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. catsup
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 lb. bacon, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
    2 medium onions, chopped
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients and simmer, stirring occasionally to keep from burning.
    Cook bacon with onions.
    Drain off most of fat; add to catsup mixture and simmer until very thick, stirring occasionally.
    Serve with meatballs, chicken, etc.
    Makes 1 quart.
