Pastry Shells - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. salt
2/3 to 3/4 c. shortening
1/3 c. cold water
Preparation

Mix flour and salt; cut in shortening with pastry blender. Add water in small amounts to dry material.
Shape into balls; place in bowl and cover tightly until ready to use.
Roll 1/8-inch thick on lightly floured board.
Bake at 450\u00b0 about 15 minutes. Yields 1 (9-inch) double-crust pie, 2 (9-inch) pie shells or 14 (4-inch) tart shells.
