Cabbage Soup Langer - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 c. chopped cabbage (1 1/2 lb.)
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
4 c. peeled and chopped tomatoes
1 c. water
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. caraway seed
Preparation

In a kettle, cook onion, garlic and cabbage in oil over moderately low heat, stirring until onion is softened.
Add flour and cook mixture, stirring, for 3 minutes.
Add tomatoes, water, lemon juice and sugar.
Add caraway seed and salt and pepper to taste.
Bring mixture to a boil and simmer for 1 hour.
Add extra water if mixture becomes too thick.
