Navy Beans And Pig Tails - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. pig tails, salt pork or neckbones
    2 c. dried navy beans
    1 small onion
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Place meat in a large saucepan.
    Cover with water.
    Simmer until meat is tender.
    Remove meat from broth.
    Add navy beans, whole onion, salt and pepper.
    Simmer until beans are tender.
    Add additional water as needed.
