Date Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. Karo syrup
    1 pkg. dates
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
Preparation
    Boil sugar, milk and Karo syrup until soft ball in water. Remove from fire. Add butter and dates.
    Mash when hard.
    Add chopped nuts and roll in wet cloth when cold.
    Cut in slices.
