Gold Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c .butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    9 egg yolks
    1 tsp. lemon or vanilla extract
    1 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add well beaten egg yolks and beat thoroughly.
    Add flavoring, then the milk alternately with the flour mixed with baking powder.
    Beat well.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 minutes in loaf pan.
