Punch Slush - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. jello
    2 c. sugar
    6 c. water
    2 (46 oz.) cans pineapple juice
    3 large bottles ginger ale (cold)
Preparation
    Heat 3 cups water to boil.
    Dissolve jello and sugar.
    Add 3 cups cold water; add juice.
    Freeze.
    One hour before serving, use potato masher and mash to soften.
    Add ginger ale.
