Waldorf Astoria Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. lean stew meat
    1 c. chopped celery
    3 medium potatoes, diced
    1 tsp. salt
    1 can tomato soup
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 c. carrots (bite size)
    4 Tbsp. tapioca
    pepper to taste
    1/2 c. wine or water
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients.
    Cover tightly and cook 5 hours at 250\u00b0.
    Don't lift lid.
    Do not brown meat.
    If desired, may add mushrooms or water chestnuts.
