Ingredients

2/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. cane syrup
2 eggs
1 c. boiling water
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar, syrup and eggs until light and fluffy. Add boiling water, beat well.
Add flour and baking soda, mixing well.
Pour in well-greased and floured pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 in a preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
