Sweet 'N Sour Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head red cabbage
    2 Tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice
    4 slices bacon
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 small onion
Preparation
    Shred cabbage.
    In a saucepan, heat 1/2 inch salted water and 2 tablespoons vinegar to boiling.
    Add cabbage and cook for 5 minutes.
    Drain.
    Fry bacon crisp and drain; pour off all but 1 tablespoon fat.
    Stir brown sugar and flour into fat.
    Add water, vinegar, salt, pepper and onion.
    Cook until it thickens (about 5 minutes).
    Add bacon and sauce to cabbage.
    Stir thoroughly. Serve hot.
