Fried Apple Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium (1 lb.) tart cooking apples, cored
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cut ends from apples and slice each apple crosswise into 4 rings.
    In large skillet, melt butter and stir in sugar and cinnamon.
    Add layer of apple slices and cook over medium heat, turning once, until golden and tender but still intact.
    Stack slices at side of skillet when almost done and cook remaining apples. Serve warm topped with pan juices.
    Good with sausage links or patties, pork chops, ham or pancakes.
    Makes 4 servings.
