Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. oleo
    1 lb. diced pork and veal
    2 c. sliced chopped onion
    2 c. diced celery
    1 large can mushrooms
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    1 large can bean sprouts, drain and save
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 lb. rice (raw or Minute)
Preparation
    Brown meat in oleo, then add onion, celery and mushrooms; brown until tender.
    Add juice from bean sprouts plus enough water to make 1 1/2 cups, salt and molasses.
    Cook on low heat until meat is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
    Dissolve cornstarch in 1/2 cup water. Add soy sauce.
    Stir into meat.
    Cook for 7 minutes or until thick. Serve over rice.
