Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. catsup (28 oz. bottle)
    1 c. water
    1 stick margarine
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar
    1 pt. mustard
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. red pepper
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    water
Preparation
    Mix the first 9 ingredients well; cook slowly for 1 hour (keep stirring).
    Add 1/2 cup sugar and the cornstarch, mixed with enough water to pour.
    Simmer for 30 minutes.
    Makes 6 pints.
