Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream butter and 2 cups of the sugar.
Add egg yolks.
Mix soda to sour cream, then add to butter, sugar and egg yolks.
Mix thoroughly, then add flour.
Beat egg whites umtil they hold a peak.
Beat in the additional cup of sugar, then fold into mixture.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Use a large tube pan.
