No Hassle Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. meat (chicken, shrimp, sausage or combo)
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. chopped mixture (onions, celery, green pepper, shallots, etc.)
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 can onion soup
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Melt margarine.
    Add 1 cup chopped mixture.
    Add meat and cook a few minutes until changes color and meat seals.
    Add onion soup and simmer (do not dilute soup).
    Wash 1 cup rice and drain.
    Add rice to meat and 2 cups of water.
    Simmer to boil on medium heat. Lower heat and cover.
    Stir occasionally until rice is cooked.
