Pickled Sweet Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. green bell peppers
    3 lb. red bell peppers
    3 c. sugar
    2 2/3 c. white vinegar (5% acidity)
    2 2/3 c. water
    3 3/4 tsp. pickling salt
    6 cloves garlic
    1/2 tsp. Kerr Extra Crisp seasoning (from packet)
Preparation
    Cut peppers in half; remove core and seeds.
    Slice in 1/4-inch strips.
    In a 6 to 8-quart saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, water, 1/2 teaspoon from crisping packet and pickling salt.
    Bring to boil.
    Add sliced peppers; return to boil.
