Ingredients

1 jar pickled beets (reserve syrup)
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 can drained mandarin orange slices or 1 can drained pineapple chunks
Preparation

Drain beets and reserve syrup.
Mix syrup and cornstarch in a 2-quart saucepan.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Stir in beets and orange slices or pineapple.
Heat through.
