Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

16 oz. pkg. green split peas
3 qt. water
1 small ham shank
1 large chopped onion
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
1 1/2 c. thinly sliced carrots
2 c. diced potatoes
Preparation

In large, deep pot, combine peas, water, ham shank, onions, chicken bouillon and seasonings.
Simmer, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours.
