Lois' Ripe Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. ripe tomatoes
    1 qt. bell pepper
    1 qt. cabbage
    4 ripe hot peppers
    1 qt. onion
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    3 tsp. turmeric
    3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Peel tomatoes; chop all vegetables.
    Mix and sprinkle with 1/2 cup salt.
    Let stand 2 hours.
    Squeeze liquid out of veggies and add rest of ingredients.
    Heat to boil (don't cook) and seal.
