Golden Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter-flavored shortening
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    2/3 c. milk
    2 1/4 c. cake flour
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in lemon juice and extract. Add milk; beat for 30 seconds.
    Sift cake flour, salt and baking powder; gradually add to creamed mixture. Beat on low speed for 2 minutes.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating for 1 minute after each.
    Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
    Dust with confectioners sugar for an added touch.
    Yield: 1 loaf.
