Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. corn meal
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. milk
    1 (8 3/4 oz.) can cream-style corn
    1/3 c. vegetable oil
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 small onion, chopped
    chopped jalapeno peppers to taste
Preparation
    Brown beef; drain fat.
    Combine next seven ingredients.
    Heat a large iron skillet and pour half of the batter into it.
    Layer beef, cheese, onion and peppers over batter.
    Pour the remaining batter on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
