Cinnamon Nut Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening (oleo)
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt (omit if using salted oleo or butter)
1 egg white
1 c. nuts, chopped

Preparation

Mix first 7 ingredients. Put dough on cookie sheet and pat out by hand. Spread over top 1 beaten egg white, then sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake at 350\u00b0 until done. Cool and cut into squares.
