Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Combine in a large pot and cook over medium heat until it forms a soft ball (in cold water).
    Stir constantly.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla, butter and pecans.
    Drop on waxed paper.
