Aunt Hazel'S Swedish Meat Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. bread crumbs
    1 c. milk
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    1/4 tsp. mace
    1/8 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1 can consomme
    1 c. Sauterne
    1/2 c. canned milk
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    3 Tbsp. bacon fat
Preparation
    Soak bread crumbs in milk for 10 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients; mix with wet hands and shape into small balls.
    Heat 3 tablespoons bacon fat and brown meat.
    Remove meat and add flour. Brown flour in remaining fat.
    Stir in consomme, Sauterne and milk. Cook until thickened.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Return meat to gravy.
    Add chopped parsley and simmer 20 minutes.
    Serves 6. Serve over pasta or rice.
