Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Melt shortening; add sugar and blend.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add eggs, vanilla, flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix.
Add coconut. Spread in 13 x 9-inch pan or 2 (8-inch) square pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cut when slightly warm.
