Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. hot water
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening together.
Add applesauce and blend.
Add flour, water, soda and cinnamon and mix well.
Add raisins.
Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch oblong pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until cake tester comes clean, about 45 minutes.
Good with chocolate frosting.
