Seafood Bisque - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 shallot, finely chopped
    1/3 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. water
    1/3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. Beau Monde seasoning
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. dry vermouth
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 pkg. (6 oz.) frozen cooked crab and shrimp
    1 c. whipping or light cream
    bay leaf (optional)
    thyme (optional)
    garlic (optional)
Preparation
    Mix shallot, celery and water.
    Blend next four ingredients and stir into vegetables.
    Cook, stirring frequently.
    Add next 4 ingredients.
    Stir until seafood is thawed.
    Add cream.
    Serves 6.
