Homemade Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 qt. half and half
    dash of salt
    1 1/2 qt. pureed fresh peaches or strawberries (optional)
    3 egg yolks
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat yolks well; add milk and sugar.
    Beat again.
    Add vanilla, salt and fruit.
    Pour into 1 gallon (3/4 full) ice cream can.
    Crank and eat!
