Spiced Carrot Sticks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 lb. medium carrots
3 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. 5% acid strength vinegar
3 c. water
4 Tbsp. mustard seed
4 Tbsp. pickling salt
2 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
12 whole cloves
12 whole allspice
Preparation
-
Pare carrots.
Cut into 4-inch strips.
Place in large saucepan with enough salted water to cover.
Cook 7 minutes or until tender.
Drain.
