Mammaw And Pappaw'S Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    3/4 c. lukewarm milk
    1 beaten egg
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water for 5 minutes.
    Add lukewarm milk, egg and sugar.
    Add flour and mix.
    Turn out on board and knead until light and fluffy.
    Turn in greased bowl and let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Punch down and let rise 30 to 40 minutes.
    Roll out and let rise 30 to 40 minutes.
    Cook in deep fryer.
    Sift powdered sugar and add milk; glaze the doughnuts.
