Spiced Blueberry Vinegar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. blueberries
    2 cinnamon sticks
    1 whole nutmeg, bruised
    4 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Place blueberries, cinnamon sticks and nutmeg in a 6-cup container.
    Combine vinegar and sugar in a saucepan; heat to almost boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar.
    Pour hot vinegar over berry mixture.
    Cover jar tightly; let stand 48 hours.
    Strain and pour into a clean bottle.
