Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 lb. round steak, cut in strips
    1/2 c. thinly sliced onion
    1 can condensed golden mushroom soup
    1/2 c. sour cream *
    1/3 c. water
Preparation
    Heat the butter in large skillet over moderately high heat. Add the meat strips and onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is browned and onion is fork-tender.
    Remove from heat and add soup, sour cream and water.
    Stir to blend all ingredients thoroughly.
    Cover and place over moderately low heat.
    Cook 1 hour or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.
    If desired, serve over cooked noodles.
