Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. quick oats
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring water to boil; add oats.
    Let stand 30 minutes.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Beat eggs into mixture.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Add oats; beat well.
    Bake for 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
