Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. rich milk
    1/2 c. rice
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bring milk, salt, rice and sugar to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Lower heat, simmer for 1 hour, stirring frequently. Stir half of milk mixture into eggs and return to pan.
    Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
