Green Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pt. green beans, drained
    1 small onion, sliced thinly and separated into rings
    8 strips bacon, crumbled
    1/4 c. bacon grease
    2/3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Cook bacon and drain.
    Reserve 1/4 cup grease.
    Add vinegar and sugar to grease.
    Heat on medium until sugar is dissolved, stir constantly.
    Place green beans in bottom of casserole.
    Place onion rings on top.
    Sprinkle with bacon and pour vinegar mixture over all.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
    Best when prepared 1 day ahead.
