Canadian Bacon Pita Pizzas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. Canadian-style bacon, cut 1/8-inch thick
1 medium onion, wedged
4 (6-inch) pita pockets, split horizontally
1/3 (7 oz.) jar roasted red peppers, rinsed and sliced into thin strips
1 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeno peppers
1/4 c. sliced olives
Preparation

Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
Cut Canadian-style bacon into 1/2-inch strips and set aside.
Place onion in 1-quart microwave-safe container.
Cover.
Cook on High for 8 to 10 minutes or until tender.
Place pita bread, smooth side up, on baking sheets.
Top each pita with equal amounts of onion, bacon and roasted pepper. Sprinkle with equal amounts of cheese and olives.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 5 to 7 minutes or until pitas are crisp.
