Stove Top Cheese Fondue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 slices firm-type bread
    2 3/4 c. (3/4 lb.) diced sharp Cheddar cheese
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of cayenne
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter
    6 slices toast or crisp crackers
    paprika
Preparation
    Cut crusts from bread and cut bread in 1/4-inch cubes.
    Put in top of double boiler.
    Add next 5 ingredients.
    Put over hot water until cheese melts and mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
    Beat in egg and butter and cook, stirring, about 5 minutes.
    Serve on toast with sprinkling of paprika.
    Serves 6.
