Texas Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. chili meat (ground meat)
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 can water
    1 tsp. cumin seed
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown the chili meat in large heavy skillet.
    Add onion and garlic; stir.
    Cook together with meat, about 5 minutes.
    Add can of tomato sauce and water.
    Add can of tomato paste and water, together with cumin seed.
    Add chili powder about 1 hour before done and salt and pepper to taste.
    Simmer, covered, on stove or oven about 2 hours.
    Remove cover and simmer until thickens.
