German Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. cabbage, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
pepper
1 medium onion, chopped
4 to 6 strips bacon, fried crisp
Preparation

Remove bacon and in some of the fryings, add the vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.
Add the cabbage and onion; cook until tender.
Then add the crisp and crumbled bacon.
Simmer a while longer.
You may need to add water from time to time.
Serve in a dish with more crumbled bacon, if desired.
