Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. peanuts (raw or roasted)
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in 3-quart saucepan.
    Cook syrup to hard crack stage (305\u00b0).
    Stir until sugar is fully dissolved.
    Add margarine when syrup comes to a boil, stirring frequently after syrup reaches 230\u00b0.
    Add nuts when mixture reaches 280\u00b0 and stir constantly thereafter.
    Remove from heat and stir in soda, mixing thoroughly.
    Pour onto two 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch cookie sheets.
    As candy cools, stretch it until thin by lifting edges of candy and pulling it from the edges.
    Loosen from cookie sheets and break into pieces when it cools.
