Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 graham crackers
    1/2 c. margarine
    8 oz. container Cool Whip
    6 oz. cream cheese
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 to 2 cans cherry pie filling
Preparation
    First Layer:
    Crush the graham crackers and mix with the margarine.
    Press into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch buttered dish.
    Put aside 1 cup to sprinkle on top layer, if desired.
