Ingredients

3 large Bermuda onions
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cut onions into 1/4-inch slices.
Separate into rings.
Heat oil in 3-quart saucepan to 375\u00b0.
Beat remaining ingredients with hand beater until smooth.
Dip rings in batter, dripping excess in bowl.
Fry few rings at a time in oil until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
