Candied Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    sweet potatoes
    brown sugar
    oleo
    cinnamon
    water
    salt
Preparation
    Parboil sweet potatoes in skin.
    Peel and cut in 1/4 pieces. Place in casserole dish in layers, sprinkling each layer with brown sugar and a little salt.
    Dot with oleo and cinnamon.
    Pour in 1/2 cup water.
    Cover and bake until tender.
    About half-way into baking, turn potato pieces over and add water if needed.
