Lazy Daisy Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats, uncooked
1/2 c. butter, soft
1/2 turbinado sugar
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. unbleached flour
1 t. soda
1 t. salt
3/4 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
Preparation

Pour water over oats.
Cover let stand 20 minutes.
Beat butter until soft and creamy.
Add sugars. Blend in vanilla and eggs, stir in oats.
Sift flour, soda, salt, and spices.
Add to creamed mixture.
Blend and pour into greased and floured 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50-55 minutes.
